What is NEET?

The National Eligibility Cum Admission Test (NEET) is an entrance test in India; passing it is the primary means for students to make a career as doctors and study at the most respected medical institutes. NEET is taken twice a year by the NTA, or National Testing Agency. NEET enables candidates to enter in graduate-level medical, dentist, or postgraduate courses at public or private medical institutes in India.

What are career opportunities after NEET?

Annually, thousands of students take the NEET exam, but only a few are selected into the best medical institutions.  However, this raises a basic question. What medical opportunities are available after the NEET exam? Or which healthcare course is the best? Scope after NEET:

  • Bachelor of Surgery and Medicine (MBBS):

Students can pursue MBBS degrees in their areas of interest after NEET and find employment as doctors in both private and public hospitals. The most regular job choice for NEET aspirants after completing the MBBS degree is becoming a doctor. The entire community respects and value doctors. An MBBS graduate from a good government college who completes a 12-month internship can easily make more than 6 Lacs per year.

  • BDS, or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Dentist):

One takes the BDS course to become a dentist. A dentist can start their profession by opening their own clinic or by working in a hospital’s dental department. The average annual pay is between 4.8 and 6 Lacs. According to The Dentists Act of 1948, the Dental Council of India (DCI) regulates the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).

  • Bachelors in Physiotherapy (BPT):

Basic areas of study including Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Exercise Therapy, and Electrotherapy are included in the BPT degree. Students who are graduated with this particular course have several career opportunities. They can get employment as staff members in clinics, hospitals, gyms, private practices, health organizations, etc.

  • Veterinary Science Bachelor (B.VSc):

It is a graduate level course for students who wish to learn both theory and practical skills to help veterinary doctors. The course covers the prevention, diagnosis, and prevention of illness, disorder, and injury in animals and lasts for five years. Students who get this degree are qualified to work in both public and private veterinary hospitals.

  • Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS):

A homoeopathic practice to alternative medicine is known as BHMS. People from all around the world, including India, are asking for homoeopathic doctors. It is a five and a half years long course. Additionally, they offer the students a 12-month internship program. You will have a prosperous career as a homoeopathic physician in practice once you have completed the course. The potential candidates can open their own clinic or join a multi-specialty network.

  • Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS):

One may pursue a career as an Ayurvedic physician after finishing the BAMS course and passing the NEET test. The goal of the BAMS course is to give students a proper education in ayurvedic medicine. Candidates have two options after graduating: they can either stay in general practice or apply for the M.D. Ayurveda degree.
